Design & Design Documentation (02)

Description
Design always starts with asking the right question. To find the right question is a process of problem-solving, coming to an understanding of the various forces at play such as site, topography, climate and consolidating them. Over a 30 year course of SAOTA's practice, core values have emerged that are fundamental to achieving successful architectural design and continue to develop through the relentless pursuit of refined, innovative architecture. This second course aims to outline the critical aspects of the design process at SAOTA and the best way to present and document it, internal and externally. It covers the basic foundation of activities that you will be required to undertake during the first three workstages (Stage 1, 2a & b and 3a & b) and the skills we expect you to master as an architect in a design practice.
